automatesocials (the “App”) is a content scheduling and publishing tool operated by Makes Cents Financial Pty Ltd (ABN 18 698 399 807), Authorised Credit Representative No. 579450 of Connect Asset Finance Pty Ltd (ABN 37 679 877 180), Australian Credit Licence 566884 (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, stores and protects information, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What the App does
The App lets an authorised operator of Makes Cents Financial review and publish pre-approved educational finance content to the business’s own connected social media accounts (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn). The App is an internal business tool; it is not offered to the public and members of the public do not create accounts in it.
2. Information the App collects
- Connected-account access tokens. When we connect a social media account, the relevant platform issues an OAuth access token. The App stores this token solely to publish content to that account on our behalf.
- Basic connected-account profile data. Where a platform provides it (for example, a TikTok account’s basic profile via the user.info.basic scope, or a page/account identifier), we use it only to identify the correct destination account for publishing.
- Operator authentication data. A magic-link email address and session cookie used to sign the authorised operator into the dashboard.
- Content we create. The finance content the operator prepares and approves for posting.
The App does not collect personal information from members of the public or from the audiences of the connected social accounts, and it does not collect the sensitive or credit-related information described in the Makes Cents Financial business Privacy Policy.
3. How the App uses information
Access tokens and account identifiers are used exclusively to publish approved content to the connected accounts and to read basic engagement metrics for those posts. We do not use this information for any other purpose, and we do not sell it.
4. Data from TikTok and other platforms
Any data obtained from TikTok, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) or LinkedIn is used only to operate the publishing integration for our own accounts, in accordance with each platform’s developer terms and policies. We do not transfer platform data to third parties except the infrastructure providers below, and we do not use it to build profiles of any individual.
5. Service providers
The App runs on third-party infrastructure that processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms: hosting and database (Railway, Supabase), email delivery for the operator sign-in link (Resend), and AI text/image generation for drafting content (OpenAI, Replicate). These providers act as processors and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes.
6. Storage, security and retention
Access tokens and App data are stored in secure cloud systems with access restricted to authorised personnel. Some data may be stored or processed on secure systems located outside Australia. We retain access tokens only for as long as the integration is active; you can revoke a token at any time through the relevant platform’s settings, which immediately ends our ability to publish to that account.
7. Your rights
Because the App does not hold personal information about members of the public, most requests relate to the connected accounts and can be actioned by disconnecting or revoking access on the relevant platform. For any privacy request under the APPs, or to access or correct information we hold, contact us using the details below. We aim to respond within 30 days.
8. Children
The App is an internal business tool and is not directed to, or intended for use by, children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL.

This policy covers the automatesocials App only. Our handling of client and credit-related personal information as a finance business is governed by the Makes Cents Financial Privacy Policy, available at www.makescentsfinancial.com.au.
